Introduction
The 154BC is a 19mm compact, media-compatible piezoresistive silicon pressure sensor housed in a 316L stainless steel or ASTM Grade 2 commercially pure titanium enclosure. The sensor is cost-effective and designed without fittings for O-ring mounting, making it suitable for OEM applications requiring compatibility with corrosive media. The titanium option offers enhanced resistance to corrosive materials and aggressive cleaning chemicals, extending its application range to areas such as dialysis machines and salt/brackish water measurement. The sensing assembly uses silicone oil to transfer pressure from the 316L stainless steel or titanium diaphragm to the sensing element. A ceramic substrate is attached to the assembly and contains laser-trimmed resistors for temperature compensation and offset correction. An additional laser-trimmed resistor is also included, which can be used to adjust an external differential amplifier to achieve span interchangeability within ±1%.
