This RH850/F1KH - D8 is a 32 - bit single - chip microcontroller with dual core CPUs, Code Flash, Data Flash, RAM modules, DMA controllers, A/D converters, timer units and many communication interfaces that are used in the automotive applications. This microcontroller has been developed as a Safety Element out of Context (SEooC) in accordance with ISO26262.

• Dual RH850G3KH 2.0 cores with RISC-type instruction set; basic instructions (one clock cycle per instruction) and optimized 5-stage pipeline configuration significantly improve instruction execution speed; bit manipulation instructions supported
• 2-byte basic instructions and high-level language instructions improve C compiler object code efficiency, reduce program size, deliver high-speed response time — suitable for advanced real-time control applications
• High-speed Code Flash for CPU instruction and constant data fetch, up to 8 MB capacity, in-application reprogrammable; 256 KB Data Flash included
• Common communication interfaces such as CSI and automotive-oriented interfaces including Ethernet, FlexRay, CAN-FD, LIN, and SENT; built-in A/D converter and timer modules
• Low-power features including Low Power Sampler (LPS) for polling signal inputs without CPU core interaction; DeepSTOP mode for powering down selected on-chip circuits
• Dedicated functional safety features including ECC memory protection and clock monitor, supporting ISO 26262 requirements for automotive applications
• Comprehensive security functions; Intelligent Cryptographic Unit - Master (ICUMD) with dedicated security CPU (RH850 G3X) and security peripherals including AES engine and RNG; hardware-level domain separation between non-secure and secure domains; internal resources assignable to non-secure or secure domains; secure domain protected by hardware mechanisms; protection schemes for debug and test functions
