Introduction
The LMR36506 is an ultra-small 65V, 0.6A synchronous DC/DC buck converter in a 2mm x 2mm HotRod package. This easy-to-use converter can handle input voltage transients up to 70V, offers excellent EMI performance, and supports a fixed output voltage of 3.3V and other adjustable output voltages. This transient tolerance reduces the design effort required to prevent input overvoltage and meets the surge immunity requirements of IEC 61000 - 4 - 5.
The LMR36506 uses a peak current mode control architecture with internal compensation to maintain stable operation and requires ultra-small output capacitance. After selecting an appropriate resistor between the RT pin and ground, the LMR36506 can achieve an ideal switching frequency in the range of 200kHz to 2.2MHz through external programming. With the precision EN/UVLO function, precise control of device startup and shutdown can be achieved.
The power good status flag with a built-in noise filter and delayed release function provides a true indication of the system status, eliminating the need for an external monitor. The compact solution size and rich feature set of the LMR36506 simplify the implementation of various industrial applications.
