Introduction
These thermistors have a negative temperature coefficient. The component consists of an NTC chip soldered between two tinned copper wires. It has a grey primer coating and is color band coded. The coating has no specific insulating properties. These thermistors have a narrow tolerance on the B value, resulting in a very small tolerance of the nominal resistance value over a wide temperature range. Therefore, the usual R = f(T) table is replaced by a table of resistance values at intermediate temperatures, together with a formula for calculating the characteristics with high precision.
