Introduction
The LMH32401 is a gain-programmable, single-ended input to differential output transimpedance amplifier designed for light detection and ranging (LiDAR) applications and laser ranging systems. The LMH32401 can be configured for either 2kΩ or 20kΩ gain. The LMH32401 features a 1.5VPP output swing capable of driving a 100Ω load. The LMH32401 integrates a 100mA clamp circuit that protects the amplifier and allows the device to recover quickly from overload input conditions. The LMH32401 also features an integrated ambient light cancellation circuit that replaces AC coupling between the photodiode and amplifier, saving board space and reducing system cost. The ambient light cancellation circuit can be disabled when DC coupling is required. When the amplifier is not in use, the EN pin can be used to place the LMH32401 into a low-power mode to conserve power. Placing the amplifier in low-power mode drives its output pins to a high-impedance state. This feature allows multiple LMH32401 amplifiers to be multiplexed into a single ADC, with the EN control pin serving as the multiplexer select function.
