Introduction
The bq76PL536A-Q1 is a stackable battery monitor and protector for 3-to-6 series-connected lithium-ion cells. The bq76PL536A-Q1 integrates an AFE and a precision ADC for accurate cell voltage measurement. A separate ADC is used for temperature measurement. In addition to temperature measurement, the device provides overvoltage and undervoltage monitoring protection for each channel. User-programmable protection thresholds and delay times are stored in non-volatile memory. A fault signal is output when any threshold is exceeded. Stacked bq76PL536A-Q1 devices can support battery packs of up to 192 cells. All devices are connected via a high-speed SPI interface. Simplified System Connections
