Introduction
The AMC3301-Q1 is a precision isolated amplifier optimized for shunt-based current measurement. This fully integrated isolated DC/DC converter enables single-supply operation on the low side of the device, making it a unique solution for space-constrained applications. The enhanced capacitive isolation barrier is certified to VDE V 0884-11 and UL1577 and supports an operating voltage of up to 1.2 kVRMS. This isolation barrier can separate devices operating at different common-mode voltage levels in the system and protect devices with lower voltages from high-voltage surges. The input of the AMC3301-Q1 is optimized for direct connection to low-impedance shunt resistors or other low-impedance voltage sources with low signal levels. Excellent DC accuracy and low temperature drift support accurate current measurement over a temperature range of -40°C to +125°C. The integrated DC/DC converter fault detection and diagnostic output pins of the AMC3301-Q1 simplify system-level design and diagnostics.
