Introduction
The INA821 is a high-precision instrumentation amplifier that offers low power consumption and can operate over a wide range of single or dual supply voltages. Any gain from 1 to 10,000 can be set using a single external resistor. Thanks to the use of super-beta input transistors (which provide low input offset voltage, offset voltage drift, input bias current, and input voltage and current noise), the device offers excellent accuracy. Additional circuitry can provide up to ±40V overvoltage protection for the inputs. The INA821 is optimized to provide a high common-mode rejection ratio. When G = 1, the common-mode rejection ratio exceeds 92dB over the entire input common-mode range. By design, this device operates at low voltages and is powered by a single 4.5V supply or dual supplies up to ±18V. The INA821 is available in 8-pin SOIC and 8-pin VSSOP packages and is specified for operation from -40°C to +125°C.
