Introduction
The ADS1260-Q1 and ADS1261-Q1 (ADS126x-Q1) are precision 40kSPS ΔΣ ADCs with a PGA. These devices also include a precision voltage reference and internal fault monitors. These sensor-ready ADCs provide high-accuracy, single-chip solutions for the most demanding measurements, including weigh scales and RTDs. These ADCs incorporate an input signal multiplexer, low-noise PGA (with gains from 1 to 128), a 4th-order ΔΣ modulator, precision voltage reference, and programmable digital filter. The high-impedance PGA inputs (1GΩ) reduce measurement errors caused by sensor loading. The ADS1260-Q1 supports three differential or five single-ended inputs. The ADS1261-Q1 supports five differential or ten single-ended inputs. Integrated current sources simplify RTD measurements. The flexible digital filter is programmable for single-cycle settling conversions. Signal and reference monitors, a temperature sensor, and CRC data validation enhance data reliability. The ADS126x-Q1 are pin-compatible devices available in a 5mm×5mm VQFN package, rated for an operating temperature range of -40°C to +125°C.
