Descrição
The ADS8860 is a 16-bit, 1MSPS single-ended input analog-to-digital converter (ADC). This device operates with an external reference voltage ranging from 2.5V to 5V, providing a wide signal range without the need for additional signal conditioning. This reference voltage setting is independent of and can exceed the analog power supply voltage (AVDD). The device offers a compatible SPI serial interface. This serial interface also supports daisy-chain operation for cascading multiple devices. An optional busy indicator bit facilitates easy synchronization with the digital host. This device supports unipolar single-ended analog inputs in the range of -0.1V to VREF + 0.1V. The device operation is optimized for extremely low power consumption. The power consumption is directly proportional to the speed. This feature makes the ADS8860 highly suitable for lower-speed applications.
