The XCL205/XCL206/XCL207 series is a synchronous step-down micro DC/DC converter integrating an inductor and control IC in a compact package. Only two external capacitors are required to build a stable power supply with an output current of up to 600mA. The operating voltage range is 2.0V to 6.0V, with an internally set output voltage range of 0.8V to 4.0V in 0.05V steps. The device operates at 3.0MHz and incorporates a built-in 0.42Ω P-channel driver transistor and a 0.52Ω N-channel switching transistor. The XCL205 series uses PWM control, the XCL206 series uses automatic PWM/PFM switching control, and the XCL207 series allows manual switching between PWM control mode and automatic PWM/PFM switching control mode, achieving fast response, low ripple, and high efficiency across the full load range from light load to heavy load. In standby, the device enters shutdown state, reducing current consumption to 1.0μA or less. The built-in UVLO function forces the internal driver transistor to turn off when the input voltage drops to 1.4V or below. The XCL205B, XCL206B, and XCL207B series achieve short-duration turn-on via an internally set 0.25ms soft-start function. The XCL205B, XCL206B, and XCL207B series integrate an output capacitor auto-discharge function, which discharges the charge stored in the output capacitor through an internal auto-discharge switch between the LX and VSS pins. When the device enters standby mode, this function rapidly pulls the output voltage back to VSS level.
