Introduction
The SGM708 microprocessor supervisory circuit reduces the complexity and component count required for monitoring power supplies and microprocessor activity. Compared to separate ICs or discrete components, it significantly improves system reliability and accuracy. The SGM708 provides a power supply monitoring circuit that generates a reset output during power-up, power-down, and brownout conditions. The reset output remains functional with VCC as low as 1V. Additionally, a 1.25V threshold detector is included for power failure warning, low battery detection, or monitoring an additional power supply. A active-low manual reset input (MR) is also provided. The SGM708 is available in a Green SOP8 package, with an operating temperature range of -40℃ to +85℃.
