When traditional incandescent lamps are dimmed, the color temperature shifts toward warmer tones, producing a candlelight-like effect. As the new standard for lighting, LEDs have previously made this effect difficult to achieve. New dim-to-warm linear LED modules enable lighting manufacturers to easily replicate the warm glow characteristic of traditional halogen light sources. These modules are compatible with most single-channel LED drivers and standard dimmer switches, simplifying luminaire design.
