Introduction
This guide describes how to get started with the iCE40 Ultra Breakout Board, an easy-to-use platform for demonstrating the high-current LED drive capability of the iCE40 Ultra FPGA. The kit includes the evaluation board and accessories, and comes pre-loaded with an LED drive demo program that demonstrates driving RGB LEDs via PWM circuitry. In addition, most I/O solder balls of the device are accessible through multiple header locations on the board, facilitating rapid prototyping of user functions. This user guide covers demo operation, functional descriptions of each section of the evaluation board, on-board connector and jumper descriptions, and the complete schematics and BOM for the iCE40 Ultra Breakout Board. Note: Electrostatic discharge can significantly shorten the lifespan of electronic components. Handle the iCE40 Ultra Breakout Board with care to avoid damage caused by ESD.
