Introduction
The TPS2556-Q1 and TPS2557-Q1 are current-limiting power distribution switches using N-channel MOSFETs, suitable for applications that may encounter short circuits or heavy capacitive loads. The device allows users to program the current-limiting threshold between 500 mA and 5 A (typical) through an external resistor. The device integrates an internal charge pump and the gate drive circuit required to drive the N-channel MOSFET. The charge pump powers the drive circuit.
