Introduction
AH3713/AH3713A/AH3714/AH3714A/AH3715/AH3716/AH3717 is a high-voltage Hall-effect latch IC designed for brushless DC motor commutation, flow meters, linear encoders, and position sensors in industrial, home appliance, and personal care applications. To support a wide range of demanding applications, the design is optimized to operate over a supply voltage range of 3.0V to 27V. Utilizing a chopper-stabilized architecture and an internal bandgap regulator to provide temperature-compensated power to internal circuitry, the device delivers a reliable solution across the entire operating range. The output features overcurrent limiting. The single open-drain output turns on in the presence of a south-pole magnetic field of sufficient strength and turns off in the presence of a north-pole magnetic field of sufficient strength. When the magnetic flux density (B) perpendicular to the package exceeds the operate point (Bop), the output turns on (pulls low). The output remains latched until the magnetic flux density reverses polarity and falls below the release point (BRp).
