The R74 series is made of metallized polypropylene film with radial leads featuring tinned wire. The radial leads are electrically welded to the metallized ends of the capacitor winding. Capacitors are encapsulated in a self-extinguishing, solvent-resistant plastic case compliant with UL 94 V-0, using thermosetting resin material. Four different winding configurations are used depending on the voltage rating. Automotive-grade devices (lead pitch up to 22.5 mm) meet the stringent AEC-Q200 certification requirements of the Automotive Electronics Council. This series has been superseded by the R75 series.
