Introduction
The DSC1101 and DSC1121 series high-performance oscillators utilize proven silicon MEMS technology to deliver excellent jitter performance and stability across a wide supply voltage and temperature range. By eliminating the need for quartz or surface acoustic wave (SAW) technology, MEMS oscillators significantly improve reliability and accelerate product development while meeting the stringent clock performance requirements of various communications, storage, and networking applications. The DSC1101 features a standby function that completely powers down the device when the EN pin is pulled low, whereas for the DSC1121, only the output is disabled when the EN pin is low. Both oscillators are available in industry-standard packages, including a compact 2.5mm x 2.0mm footprint, offering drop-in replacement compatibility with standard 4-pin CMOS quartz crystal oscillators.
