Introduction
The single-wire board allows users to test the functionality of Dallas Semiconductor thermal devices with a 1-Wire interface. The circuit allows users to read temperature and read/write the corresponding registers of socketed devices. The DS1701K program is a 32-bit application designed to run under Windows 95, Windows 98, or Windows NT. The installation package can be loaded directly onto the user's PC; run the "Setup" file to execute the DS1701K program files. Connect the 1-Wire cable to the serial port, power the board with a regulated +3V to +5V supply, and run DS1701K.exe to view the corresponding interface. Once the software loads successfully, the temperature sensor screen will appear, from which all device functions can be accessed.
