Introduction
The P Series forged pin fin heatsinks provide an integrated solution for TO-220, TO-247, and TO-264 package devices, combining a compact design with a universal cam-clip system. TO-220 devices can be mounted using non-standard cam clips (contact Ohmite for details). These robust forged pin fin heatsinks are designed to be soldered to a PCB via through-hole mounting, with a forged pin fin design that allows forced convection cooling in multiple directions. The pin fin design provides greater surface area to minimize thermal resistance. The P Series is an ideal heatsink type for high-power, small-form-factor (1U or 2U) electronic enclosures, supporting both natural and forced convection cooling.

- Heatsink material: AL1070
- Spring clip: music wire per ASTM A228, bright nickel electroplated
- Solder legs: brass, pure tin or nickel plated, RoHS compliant
- For improved performance, thermal interface materials, 0.005 Grafoil (Laird TGon 800), or phase change materials (Bergquist Hi-Flow) may be used
- Insulator materials: Bergquist Sil-Pad 900-S, K6 800-S, and K10
