Introduction
The LMR36015 regulator is an easy-to-use synchronous buck DC/DC converter. The device features integrated high-side and low-side power MOSFETs capable of delivering up to 1.5A of output current over a wide input voltage range of 4.2V to 60V. Transient tolerance up to 66V reduces the design effort required to protect against overvoltage and meets the surge immunity requirements of IEC 61000-4-5. The LMR36015 uses a peak current mode control scheme to deliver optimal efficiency and output voltage accuracy. The FPWM feature in the 1MHz regulator improves load transient performance. Precision enable supports direct connection to wide input voltages or precise control of device startup and shutdown, providing flexibility. The power-good flag with built-in filtering and delay eliminates the need for an external supervisor while providing a true indication of system status. The LMR36015 uses a HotRod package to achieve low noise, higher efficiency, and a minimal package-to-die ratio. The device requires minimal external components and features a pin configuration that simplifies PCB layout. The LMR36015's small solution size and feature set are designed to simplify deployment across a wide range of end equipment, including space-critical applications such as ultra-compact field transmitters and vision sensors.
