When mounted on a machine guard with the switch and actuator within the specified operating range, the safety contacts will close and the auxiliary contacts will open (refer to the table for switching distances). When the actuator moves outside the operating range, the safety contacts will open and the auxiliary contacts will close as an indication. The FF series safety switches and actuators are designed to approach each other from multiple directions. When the switch is closed, the target on the marked face of the switch must be aligned.
