Introduction
XLamp MHD-E LEDs are a new generation of high-power LEDs that enable lower-cost systems more efficiently compared to mid-power (MP) LEDs. Utilizing Cree LED's high-reliability ceramic package technology, they operate at higher temperatures than MP LEDs without any reduction in rated lifetime, enabling up to 60% reduction in heatsink size and cost. Fewer XLamp MHD-E LEDs are needed to achieve the same performance as MP LEDs, and these LEDs are optimized to simplify LED system design for directional and semi-directional applications.
