Introduction
The SST25WF020A is a member of the Serial Flash 25 Series family with a 4-wire SPI-compatible interface, enabling the use of low pin-count packages that occupy less board space and ultimately reduce total system cost. The SPI Serial Flash is manufactured using proprietary high-performance CMOS SuperFlash technology. Compared to other approaches, the split-gate cell design and thick-oxide tunneling injector deliver superior reliability and manufacturability. This Serial Flash significantly improves performance and reliability while reducing power consumption. The device operates from a single 1.65–1.95V supply for write (program or erase) operations. Total energy consumption is a function of applied voltage, current, and time. Because SuperFlash technology draws less current during programming and requires shorter erase times across any given voltage range, total energy consumed during any program or erase operation is lower than that of other Flash technologies. The SST25WF020A is available in 8-pin SOIC, 8-contact USON, and 8-contact WDFN packages.
