A dual operational amplifier with a minimum output current of 500mA and excellent distortion performance. Although the amplifier is stable at a gain of 10, it can be easily compensated at lower gains. Extended output swing allows the use of lower voltage rails to reduce system power. To optimize power dissipation, supply current is set by an external resistor. Features balanced and high-impedance inputs, along with low input bias current and input offset voltage. Active termination is easily implemented to further reduce system power. Short-circuit protection and thermal shutdown ensure device durability. Operating from ±12V supplies, the output can drive a 100Ω load to ±11.1V, and drive a 250mA load to ±10.9V. Increased swing at lower supply voltages makes it ideal for line driver applications. Available in a thermally enhanced, compact 20-pin TSSOP package, as well as a 20-pin SW package.
