Introduction
The ADP222/ADP224 offer fixed output voltage options ranging from 0.8 V to 3.3 V. The adjustable output voltage regulators ADP223/ADP225 provide an output voltage range of 0.5 V to 5.0 V. The low quiescent current, low dropout, and wide input range of the ADP222/ADP223/ADP224/ADP225 extend battery life in portable devices. These devices maintain greater than 60 dB power supply rejection at operating frequencies up to 100 kHz while requiring very low headroom voltage. Compared to competing LDO products, the ADP222/ADP223/ADP224/ADP225 exhibit significantly lower noise. The ADP223/ADP225 are 300 mA adjustable dual-output voltage regulators, while the ADP222/ADP224 are fixed dual-output voltage regulators. These devices combine high PSRR, low noise, low quiescent current, and low dropout, making them ideal for wireless applications with stringent performance and board space requirements. No noise bypass capacitor is required. These devices also feature overcurrent and thermal protection circuitry to prevent damage under adverse conditions. The ADP224 and ADP225 are functionally identical to the ADP222 and ADP223, respectively, except that the ADP224 and ADP225 add a quick output discharge (QOD) feature. The ADP222/ADP223/ADP224/ADP225 are offered in an 8-lead, 2 mm×2 mm LFCSP package and are stable with small 0.1 μF, ±30% ceramic output capacitors, enabling portable power solutions in minimal board space.
