Introduction
UniFET™ MOSFET is based on planar stripe and DMOS technology. This MOSFET is designed to reduce on-resistance, deliver superior switching performance, and provide higher avalanche energy ruggedness. The UniFET Ultra FRFET™ MOSFET features excellent body diode reverse recovery characteristics. Its trr is less than 50ns with a reverse dv/dt immunity of 20V/ns, compared to standard planar MOSFETs with trr exceeding 200ns and reverse dv/dt immunity of 4.5V/ns. Therefore, in applications where improved MOSFET body diode performance is required, the UniFET Ultra FRFET MOSFET can reduce component count and improve system reliability. This device family is suited for switching power converter applications such as power factor correction (PFC), flat panel display (FPD) TV power supplies, ATX power supplies, and electronic lamp ballasts.
