The MAX3075E is a 3.3V, ±15kV ESD-protected RS-485/RS-422 transceiver integrating one driver and one receiver. The device includes protection circuitry that ensures the receiver output remains at a logic-high level when the receiver inputs are open or shorted. If the driver on the terminated bus is disabled (high-impedance state), the receiver output is also logic-high. The device features hot-swap capability to eliminate spurious transitions on the bus during power-up or hot insertion. The MAX3075E uses a slew-rate-limited driver design, supporting data rates up to 500kbps, suitable for half-duplex communication. All devices feature 1/8-unit-load receiver input impedance, allowing up to 256 transceivers on the bus.
