223B PSSY is a dedicated single-key capacitive touch detection sensor IC. It employs a new-generation charge detection technology to determine finger proximity or touch actions by detecting changes in the charge level between the operator's finger and the touch pad. The design contains no mechanical components, eliminating wear and tear concerns. The sensing element can be placed behind any insulating layer (such as glass or plastic), enabling keyboard designs that are fully sealed from the surrounding environment. Panel patterns can be freely designed with flexible choices of key size and shape, and can be freely combined with characters, logos, transparent windows, and other elements — resulting in an attractive, stylish appearance that resists fading, deformation, and wear over time. It fundamentally overcomes limitations inherent in traditional metal and mechanical panels, offering great flexibility in reliability and aesthetic design. It can directly replace existing conventional panels (such as metal keypads, membrane keypads, and conductive rubber keypads) without any modification to existing firmware or software. The product features minimal peripheral components, low cost, and low power consumption.
