Introduction
Multi-channel array photodetectors consist of multiple single-element photodiodes arranged adjacent to one another, forming a one-dimensional sensing region on a common cathode substrate. They enable simultaneous measurement of moving beams or beams of multiple wavelengths. Key features include low electrical crosstalk and ultra-high uniformity between adjacent elements, enabling high-precision measurement. When a large number of detectors is required, arrays offer a cost-effective solution. These detectors are optimized for the UV, visible, or near-infrared bands. They can operate in photoconductive mode (reverse-biased) to reduce response time, or in photovoltaic mode (unbiased) for low-drift applications. The A2V-16 can be coupled with any scintillator crystal for measuring high-energy photons in the X-ray and gamma-ray regions of the electromagnetic spectrum. Furthermore, their mechanical design allows multiple detectors to be mounted end-to-end in applications requiring more than 16 elements.
