Introduction
Each of these Schottky-clamped data selectors/multiplexers contains inverters and drivers to provide fully complementary, on-chip binary decoded data selection to AND-OR gates. Separate output control inputs are provided for each of the two 4-line sections.
The three-state outputs can interface directly with data lines in bus-organized systems. When all but one common output are disabled (in the high-impedance state), the low impedance of the single enabled output will drive the bus line to either a high or low logic level.
Applications
- Tri-state outputs for direct interface with data bus organized systems.
- Allows multiplexing from N lines to one line.
