Introduction
The SiT5359 is a precision MEMS Super-TCXO with stability optimized to ±50 ppb over the -40°C to 105°C temperature range. It is designed for optimal dynamic performance and is well-suited for high-reliability telecom, wireless and networking, industrial, precision GNSS, and audio/video applications.
Leveraging SiTime's unique DualMEMS temperature sensing and TurboCompensation technology, the SiT5359 delivers optimal dynamic performance for timing stability in the presence of environmental disturbances such as airflow, temperature perturbations, vibration, shock, and EMI. The device also integrates multiple on-chip voltage regulators to filter power supply noise, eliminating the need for dedicated external LDOs.
The SiT5359 is offered in three device configurations, orderable via ordering code:
- TCXO with a non-adjustable output frequency;
- VCTCXO allowing voltage-controlled output frequency adjustment;
- DCTCXO supporting digital control of output frequency via I²C interface, with frequency adjustment resolution down to 5 ppt (parts per trillion).
The SiT5359 can be factory-programmed for any combination of frequency, stability, voltage, and pull range. This programmability enables designers to optimize clock configurations while eliminating the long lead times and customization costs associated with quartz devices, where each frequency requires a custom part.
