It can detect various types of media with as little as 30% change in reflectance. The rugged, industrial-grade resin allows operation across a wide temperature range of -40°C to +85°C, making it ideal for harsh environments. The sensor is factory-calibrated against a white card at a distance of 12mm for plug-and-play detection. Recalibration can be performed in milliseconds via a single command to meet specific application requirements. Integrated automatic temperature compensation maximizes detection consistency and reliability. The compact form factor conserves valuable PCB space, making it suitable for smaller, more portable devices. The OPB9000 eliminates the need for external components such as op-amps, data converters, and comparators, as all analog signal conditioning functions are integrated within the IC.
