TPT75176A and TPT75176B are enhanced RS485 transceivers that exceed the standard TIA/EIA-485-A specifications, featuring ±12-kV ESD protection, supporting 3 V to 5.5 V supply voltage, and serving as single transceivers for balanced communication. These devices also provide higher output voltage and higher data rates (up to 10 Mbps) to meet the demands of high-speed PROFIBUS applications, and are available in industrial and extended industrial (-40℃ to +125℃) temperature range versions. These transceivers require a 3 V to 5.5 V capacitive supply and can provide a minimum differential output voltage of 2.1 V at 5 V supply. This translates to improved noise immunity (data integrity), longer transmission distances, or the ability to drive up to three 120 Ω terminations (in "star" or other non-standard bus topologies) at exceptional data rates up to 10 Mbps. The receiver inputs feature a "full fail-safe" design, ensuring a logic-high output when the receiver inputs are floating, shorted, or terminated but undriven. The receiver output has a high drive level (typical >25 mA @ V_OL = 1 V) to simplify the design of optically isolated interfaces. TPT75176A and TPT75176B are available in SOP8, MSOP8, and DFN3X3-8 packages, with an operating temperature range of -40℃ to 125℃.
