Introduction
The NTE4514B (active-high output option) and NTE4515B (active-low output option) are two output options for a 4-to-16 line decoder with latched inputs. The NTE4514B presents a logic "1" at the selected output, while the NTE4515B presents a logic "0" at the selected output. The latches are R-S type flip-flops that retain the last input data before the strobe transitions from "1" to "0". Both active-high and active-low options of this 4-bit latch/4-to-16 line decoder employ N-channel and P-channel enhancement-mode devices integrated in a single monolithic structure. The latches are R-S type flip-flops; data is entered when a signal appears at the strobe input and is presented at the outputs after decoding. These complementary circuits are primarily intended for decoding applications requiring low power dissipation and/or high noise immunity.
