Introduction
These products are compact receivers designed for infrared remote control systems. A PIN diode and preamplifier are assembled on a leadframe, with an infrared filter integrated within the epoxy package. The demodulated output signal can be directly connected to a microprocessor for decoding. The TSOP323.. and TSOP343.. series are optimized to suppress nearly all spurious pulses from energy-saving light sources such as compact fluorescent lamps. With continuous transmission, AGC3 may also suppress some data signals. The TSOP321.. and TSOP341.. series are primarily intended for compatibility with legacy AGC1 designs. For new designs, the TSOP323.. and TSOP343.. series featuring the newer AGC3 are preferred. The TSOP325.. and TSOP345.. series incorporate a highly robust AGC5, and are intended exclusively for use in severely noisy environments. These components are not qualified to automotive specifications.
