The Honeywell HM Series sealed miniature basic switches are designed for use in various commercial aircraft and deep-space applications (high-altitude requirements). These miniature sealed switches are also suitable for a wide range of other applications, including land vehicles, marine environments, and other harsh industrial environments. The switch complies with MIL-PRF-8805. Select HM switches carry UL 508 certification for industrial or ground transportation applications. MICRO SWITCH™ HM sealed switches feature glass-to-metal and metal-to-metal sealing and have been used across numerous applications for over 50 years.

The sealed HM basic switches are ideal for demanding applications requiring Class 5 sealing, with an operating temperature range of -184°C to 260°C (-300°F to 500°F). The HM switches feature a stainless steel housing and sealed construction, making them suitable for environments with dust, water, other particulate contaminants, and corrosive gases.

HM basic switches offer versatility through bifurcated gold contacts for reliable control of low-energy loads (milliamps and millivolts), or silver contacts for switching power loads at 30 VDC or 115 VAC at 400 Hz. Electrical connection to the switch is made via individual wires or "through-hole" solder terminals, further enhancing the versatility of HM switches.
