Introduction
LY6394E is a fully integrated power management IC designed specifically for Bluetooth earphone charging cases. The chip integrates a lithium battery charge management module, a synchronous boost converter, and battery fuel gauge and protection function modules. It supports direct enable pin control via a Hall sensor, enabling automatic earphone reconnection upon lid opening, 8-second LED illumination on lid opening, and automatic boost activation on lid closing — eliminating the need for external MOSFETs or BJTs for output loop control circuits. The chip can also be controlled via an MCU through its enable pin for fast output enable/disable, enabling communication between the charging case and earphones, likewise without the need for external control MOSFETs or current discharge MOSFETs. The chip features adapter adaptive functionality, automatically adjusting charge current based on adapter output capability and charging cable resistance. It supports trickle, constant current, and constant voltage charging modes, and allows 0V battery charging. The boost operating frequency is 1MHz, with a maximum output current of 500mA and a built-in soft-start circuit. The chip provides comprehensive protection features, including thermal protection, output short-circuit/overload protection, battery undervoltage protection, and input undervoltage protection. Additionally, it supports battery level indication for 1 to 4 LEDs.
