Introduction
The SACS772 series is an open-loop current sensor module based on the Hall effect principle, offering a more cost-effective and accurate solution for AC or DC current detection. It is widely used in industrial, commercial, and communication systems for AC or DC current measurement. Typical applications include motor control, load detection and management, power supplies and DC-DC converters, photovoltaic inverters, UPS systems, overcurrent protection, and current detection in low-to-medium power variable frequency drives.
The SACS772 consists of a high-precision, low-noise, low-temperature-drift linear Hall IC, a magnetic core, and a low insertion resistance (0.12mΩ) current conductor path located near the die surface. The applied current flowing through this conductor path generates a magnetic field, which the IC converts into a voltage signal output proportional to the input current.
The SACS772 output voltage is provided by a low-offset, chopper-stabilized BCD Hall IC. The output voltage is precisely calibrated in the factory for different current ranges. When the applied external current flows through the conduction path (from pin 4 to pin 5), the IC output has a positive slope (>VOQ). The typical internal resistance of this conduction path is 120uΩ, enabling low power dissipation. The terminals of the conductive path (pin 4 and pin 5) are electrically isolated from the signal terminals (pin 1 to pin 3). This allows the SACS772 current sensor module to be used in current detection applications without requiring additional costly isolation techniques.
All pins of the SACS772 series are tin-plated, and the package material is lead-free, compliant with RoHS standards.
