Introduction
IP5306 is a multi-function power management SOC integrating a boost converter, lithium battery charge management, and battery level indication, providing a complete power solution for power banks. The high integration and rich feature set of the IP5306 require minimal external components in application, effectively reducing overall solution size and lowering BOM cost. The IP5306 requires only a single inductor to implement both step-down and step-up functions, and supports low-cost inductors and capacitors. The IP5306 synchronous boost system delivers a maximum output current of 2.4A with conversion efficiency up to 92%. Under no-load conditions, it automatically enters sleep mode, reducing quiescent current to 100uA. The IP5306 adopts switching charge technology, providing a maximum charging current of 2.1A with charging efficiency up to 91%. Built-in IC temperature and input voltage sensing intelligently regulate the charging current. The IP5306 supports 1, 2, 3, and 4 LED battery level displays.
