Introduction
190 is a reversible BCD (8421) decade counter with synchronous counting and asynchronous preset capabilities. The preset function enables the 190 to be used as a programmable frequency divider. The count enable input, terminal count output, and ripple clock output allow for a variety of methods to implement multi-stage counters. In counting mode, state transitions are triggered by the rising edge of the clock.
