Introduction
The MM3220 series are protection ICs fabricated using a high-voltage CMOS process, designed for overcharge, overdischarge, and overcurrent protection of rechargeable lithium-ion or lithium-polymer batteries. They detect overcharge, overdischarge, discharge overcurrent, short-circuit, charge overcurrent (optional) conditions in single-cell rechargeable lithium-ion or lithium-polymer batteries. Each IC consists of four voltage detectors, a short-circuit detection circuit, a reference voltage source, an oscillator, a counter circuit, and a logic circuit.
