The TPS4005x series are high-voltage synchronous buck controllers with a wide input voltage range (8V to 52V). The TPS4005x series is highly flexible, offering multiple user-programmable features including soft-start, UVLO, operating frequency, voltage feed-forward, high-side current limiting, and loop compensation. The TPS4005x employs voltage feed-forward control to deliver excellent line regulation over a wide (4:1) input voltage range and responds quickly to input line transients. The input-variable, approximately constant modulator gain simplifies loop compensation. The externally programmable current limiting feature provides cycle-by-cycle current limiting, while using an internal fault counter to operate in hiccup mode during prolonged overload conditions.
