Introduction
The ISO732x-Q1 family of devices provides galvanic isolation rated up to 3000 VRMS for 1 minute per UL 1577, and 4242 VPK isolation per VDE V 0884-10. These devices feature two isolated channels whose logic input and output buffers are separated by a silicon dioxide (SiO₂) insulation barrier. The ISO7320-Q1 has both channels in the same direction, while the ISO7321-Q1 has the two channels in opposite directions. In the event of input power or signal loss, the default output is low (devices with order part number suffix F) or high (devices without suffix F). When used with an isolated power supply, these devices help prevent noise currents on data buses or other circuits from entering local ground or interfering with or damaging sensitive circuits. The ISO734x-Q1 family integrates noise filters designed for harsh industrial environments where short noise pulses may appear on device input pins. The ISO732x-Q1 family features TTL input thresholds and operates over a supply voltage range of 3 V to 5.5 V. Through innovative chip design and layout techniques, the ISO732x-Q1 family achieves significantly enhanced EMC performance, ensuring system-level ESD, EFT, and surge protection while meeting radiated emissions standards.
