Introduction
The TLV1805-Q1 high-voltage comparator combines unique features such as a wide power supply range, push-pull output, rail-to-rail input, low quiescent current, shutdown function, and fast output response. All these features make this comparator well-suited for applications that require detection on the positive or negative voltage rail, such as reverse current protection in smart diode controllers, overcurrent detection, and overvoltage protection circuits, where the push-pull output stage is used to drive the gates of P-channel or N-channel MOSFET switches. The high-peak current push-pull output stage is a distinctive feature of the high-voltage comparator, offering the advantage of allowing the output to actively drive the load to either power supply rail at a fast edge rate. This is particularly useful for applications that need to quickly drive the MOSFET gate high or low to connect or disconnect the host from a power supply with a voltage higher than expected. Other features, such as low input offset voltage, low input bias current, and high-impedance shutdown, enable the TLV1805-Q1 to flexibly meet the requirements of various applications. Power-on reset prevents false outputs during power-up. The TLV1805-Q1 comes in a 6-pin SOT-23 package and meets the AEC-Q100 standard, with an automotive Grade 1 temperature range from -40°C to +125°C.
