UMW ADM485ARZ(UMW)

The ADM485 is a low-power transceiver for RS-485 and RS-422 communications. The IC contains one driver and one receiver. The ADM485 driver slew rate is not limited, allowing data transmission rates up to 2.5Mbps. Supply current for these transceivers ranges from 120μA to 500μA with the driver unloaded or fully loaded and disabled. All devices operate from a single 5V supply. The driver features short-circuit current limiting and is protected against excessive power dissipation by a thermal shutdown circuit that forces the driver outputs into a high-impedance state. The receiver inputs include a failsafe feature that guarantees a logic-high output if the inputs are open-circuited. The ADM485 is designed for half-duplex applications.
