Introduction
The UCC27712-Q1 is a 620V high-side and low-side gate driver with 1.8A source and 2.8A sink current capability, designed to drive power MOSFETs or IGBTs. For IGBTs, the recommended VDD operating voltage is 10V to 20V; for power MOSFETs, the recommended VDD operating voltage is 10V to 17V. The UCC27712-Q1 incorporates protection features whereby outputs are held low when inputs remain open, or when the minimum input pulse width specification is not met. Interlocking and dead-time functions prevent both outputs from turning on simultaneously. In addition, the device accepts a wide bias supply range of 10V to 22V and provides UVLO protection for both VDD and HB bias supplies. Built on TI's advanced high-voltage device technology, the device features robust drivers with superior noise and transient immunity, including high negative input voltage tolerance, high dV/dt tolerance, wide negative transient safe operating area (NTSOA) at the switching node, and interlocking. The device contains a ground-referenced channel (LO) and a floating channel (HO), the latter designed for bootstrap supply or isolated supply operation. The device offers fast propagation delay and excellent delay matching between the two channels. On the UCC27712-Q1, each channel is controlled by its respective input pin HI and LI.
