PI3HDMI521 is a 2:1 ActiveEye™ switch supporting the HDMI 1.4 specification with a data rate of 3.4Gbps, and is backward compatible with the DVI 1.0 standard. The IC's programmable features help eliminate the need for additional GPIO control pins or control chips, providing optimized trace routing and reduced component count. TMDS input termination settings help avoid compatibility issues caused by non-standard HDMI sources, determining TMDS channel connection status through appropriate termination voltage settings. Output termination settings are programmable with dual-termination support to mitigate reflection issues caused by impedance mismatch and jitter signals. The PI3HDMI521 also integrates an Audio Return Channel and fast HDMI switching capability.
