Introduction
SDH8635 is a current-mode PWM+PFM controller for switching power supplies, featuring an integrated high-voltage MOSFET, a high-voltage startup constant current source, and an external sampling resistor. The SDH8635 integrates a high-voltage startup constant current source with standby power consumption < 30mW. It supports multiple control modes: PWM mode under heavy load; PFM mode under light load to improve conversion efficiency; and hiccup mode under no-load conditions to reduce standby power consumption. The SDH8635 features frequency dithering to reduce EMI. An integrated peak current compensation circuit ensures consistent maximum output power across different AC input voltages. The integrated soft-start function reduces transformer stress during power-up and prevents transformer saturation. The SDH8635 integrates comprehensive protection functions for abnormal conditions, including Leading Edge Blanking (LEB), cycle-by-cycle peak current limiting, VCC overvoltage protection (OVP), output overload protection (OLP), and over-temperature protection (OTP).
