Introduction
The Kria KR260 Robotics Starter Kit includes a non-production version of the K26 System-on-Module (SOM), a robotics carrier board, and a thermal solution. The module has a compact design, containing only essential components such as the Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC-based silicon device, memory, and boot and security modules. The robotics carrier board provides multiple interface options, including a power solution, multiple Ethernet interfaces, SFP+ connectivity, an SLVS-EC sensor interface, and a microSD card slot. The thermal solution comprises a heat sink, heat sink cover, and fan. The kit is designed to provide customers with a platform to evaluate their target applications and ultimately design their own carrier boards based on the Xilinx K26 SOM. While the SOM itself is broadly applicable across markets and various applications, the target application areas for the Kria KR260 Robotics Starter Kit are factory automation, communications, control, and vision — with a particular focus on robotics and machine vision.
